I suggest reading this resource from top to bottom. Once you are familiar with the overall fundamentals of Feng Shui you can use the quick navigation to reference different sections of this resource.
Individuals just starting out on their journey into the world of Feng Shui will find everything they need in this resource.
This resource assumes you have no prior knowledge of Feng Shui - so it is very beginner friendly.
How to learn Feng Shui also assumes you are looking to learn the authentic traditions and philosophies of Feng Shui. This will provide you with a strong fundamental knowledge in which to grow your understanding and appreciation for this wonderful art.
When translated from the traditional texts, the term Feng Shui literally means Wind and Water.
Feng Shui is an ancient Chinese art form that is based on the philosophy of manipulating the Qi (energy) in the surrounding environment.
You could even go as far as saying Feng Shui allows you to become synchronized with your immediate environment. Allowing you to tune in to and harmonize with the natural flow of energy where you live and sleep.
Generally speaking, the purpose of Feng Shui is to benefit the occupants or residents of a particular space or building. These include structures such as homes, offices, shops and many more. The main conditions required in order to practise Feng Shui is that the space requires four walls, a roof and a door.
In fact, when practising Feng Shui, a master can even design the manipulation to benefit specific aspects of an individual's life. Such as wealth, career, longevity, as well as pregnancy.
Lineage of the Feng Shui is often overlooked by individuals seeking to learn Feng Shui techniques. Many people assume all Feng Shui strategies are the same - which is incorrect.
While all Feng Shui philosophies are based on the same fundamentals, the Feng Shui techniques practised by a Feng Shui Master will ultimately be influenced by their lineage - in other words where they learnt their Feng Shui practices.
As you can now appreciate, the lineage will heavily influence the Feng Shui you learn.
Personally, I have learned the philosophies and practices of the San Yuen Yuen Gua lineage passed down from the Great Grand Master Yang YunSong.
Within our lineage, the correct and genuine Feng Shui techniques have been passed down from generation to generation.
In fact, within our lineage, it is forbidden to publish written core materials of particular aspects of our teachings.
With the correct knowledge about the different Feng Shui techniques, you can ultimately craft a harmonious space for you and your family.
By understanding when and where to apply specific Feng Shui configurations, the correct energy flow can help to improve your fertility, wealth, career, health and longevity.
In fact, applying the Feng Shui philosophies and techniques are not difficult. It is understanding the appropriate time and place (or know-how) to implement the techniques that can make the difference between a large change to minor insignificant changes in your life.
To use Feng Shui to improve the flow of energy in your home you need to understand the fundamental Feng Shui concepts. In my course you will learn the different strategies necessary to perform self-evaluations of your very own home. Once you know-how and where to look in your home, you can determine which areas of your home you need to manipulate or change to create a more positive energy flow.
In Feng Shui practices, the Bagua Map is one of the fundamental tools used to determine where and how the energy should flow in the space being analyzed.
The Bagua Map can be seen as the compass of the Feng Shui world. It identifies to a Feng Shui Master the WHO, WHEN, WHAT, WHERE and WHY.
Contrary to what you may read on other Feng Shui articles and courses, there is no one set way to read the Bagua Map.
The wealth sector is not always the South-East corner, and South is not always your fame.
In fact, there are no 'bad' sectors. There is only incorrect Feng Shui placement. Rather, in our lineage practices, we choose to view each and every sector as a 'good sector'. For example, some sectors require only the use of everyday items such as pantries and storage to activate good energies. Some sectors are good for placing other items, like stoves. We just emphasize particular sectors to focus on in our readings. By focusing our energies this way, we can manipulate the energies to be optimal for the individuals in question.
In this beginner's level How to Learn Feng Shui video course, I cover all the fundamental concepts you need to know to start your journey into this fascinating world.
